Monument Valley was a natural wonder in the western United States. In the story Flotter and the Perfect Day, as campers and tourists were visiting the valley, an alien spacecraft appeared in the sky. This spacecraft, along with others, was part of a fleet attacking Earth. Employing a green beam of destruction, the spacecraft reduced the valley to rubble within seconds. (VOY: "Lineage")
