Adam and Eve Expelled from Paradise (or Expulsion) was a 20th century painting by human artist Marc Chagall, depicting a scene from the Biblical book of Genesis in which Adam and Eve are cast out of the Garden of Eden. Spock hung a copy of this painting in his quarters on the USS Enterprise-A, explaining that it served as a reminder that all things must end. (TOS movie: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) Spock later displayed the painting in his quarters aboard the USS Intrepid II. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)
