Caêrfaen is both the name of the region and the stone-walled city of the elves to the far east of the Shores of Winter. Due to the expansionist views of the barony of Evesham, the two city-states were once at war, but in the recent two years, a truce has been signed in exchange for the return of claimed land back to the elves. The two regions are distrustful of each other, and Caêrfaen is considered unlikely to involve themselves in any of the political or physical threats encroaching upon the towns of the Shores of Winter.
