The Oolans were a sentient species native to Marejaretus VI. In Oolan culture, thanks were given during a meal by the striking together of two large stones in appreciation. The stones were struck consistently and the meal continued until they were broken. The Oolan ceremony was not dissimilar from some Betazoid customs or those of the oligarchy on Artifs IV.
