Skag Whelps are young skags, more mature than Skag Pups but not quite adult skags. They behave almost exactly the same as skag pups, except that they are a bit larger, tougher, and stronger. They attack by slashing with their claws and leaping. Like all skags, they will randomly open their mouth to roar (also while leaping), which is a good opportunity for a critical hit, though they are weak enough that this is usually unnecessary.
