In the Wild Cards universe, director Roman Polanski's 1974 movie "Chinatown" is instead "Jokertown". In both versions, the protaganist is portrayed by actor Jack Nicolson. Polanski based his movie on a 1958 encounter between Chop-chop and Fleur van Renssaeler
