The RG8527FX features an African mahogany body with a bound flamed maple top bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with flamed maple binding and Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include dual DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups, a Tight-End R-7 fixed bridge and a TUSQ nut. The RG8527FX is a limited production spot model available only in Japan with as few as 20 examples produced. A left-handed version, the RG8527FXL, was also offered. The RG8527Z is a similar model with a tremolo bridge.
