The mother of Myka Bering, and Tracy, and wife of Warren Bering who along with her husband owns a bookstore. Jeannie obviously attempts to mediate between her stubborn husband and equally headstrong eldest daughter, but appears to have consistently taken the side of the former when the chips were down. She herself is the near-victim of Jack the Ripper's Lantern when it is used by James MacPherson to blackmail Myka and Pete into handing over Edgar Allan Poe's Quill Pen and Notebook. She takes strongly to Pete, as does her husband, and seems genuinely concerned for Myka, although the two of them appear to communicate little better than father and daughter.
