The Xil were originally an unnamed, unimportant race that had spawned Helsian. Only later did they begin to develop to help fill in the ranks of the Finori's subverted soldiers and slave workers seen by Dahna in the prison camp. The physical inspiration for the Xil comes from the Axolotl, a bizare salamander species found in South America. The unique gil structures added a unique appreance to the Xil species.
