The Kingswood Brotherhood was a group of outlaws active during the reign of Aerys II. Led by Simon Toyne, they gained recognition by kidnapping nobles in the area surrounding the Kingswood. They were eventually destroyed by a group of knights led by Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. Ser Barristan Selmy and a young squire named Jaime Lannister were among those fighting the Toyne and his men.
