L. Tom Perry is a a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Image:L Tom Perry.jpg Lowell Tom Perry was born on August 5, 1922, in Logan, Utah. He was the oldest son and had five siblings. His parents were strong members of the Church and encouraged their children to participate by involving them in their own callings. Elder Perry said that in his family it was hard not to have a testimony because of the example of his parents. In 1976, Elder Perry was introduced to Barbara Dayton and they were married that spring.
