In "His Visit: Day One", when Barry mentions Room 24, John murmurs, "Room 24 will give up its dead, and the dead will be forgiven." Barry enters the room in "His Visit: Day Two", and then runs from it, claiming that it's haunted. In "His Visit: Day Two Continued", he tells Meyer and Ramon that he can hear the ghost of Gilbert Rollins, the man who abused him, singing in the room. In "His Visit: Day Five", during John's cookout speech, John carries the spirit of Gilbert Rollins out of Room 24, and places him on a bench in the courtyard.
