Education in the New German Reich is a high priority for the government, and is compulsory from age six to age seventeen. The system was first established in the former Republic of Prussia, and since reunification has been adopted by all state governments. School uniforms are mandatory throughout Germany, and consistes of a white shirt or blouse, black blazer and trousers or skirt, a red triangular necktie, and a black sidehat (Schiffe) bearing the school crest.
