GTN was founded on September 11, 1987 by the Geo Universal creator Geo G. as a joint venture between Sony, Fox, Universal, MGM, Disney, Viacom, Ben's, JAB3 Pictures and Turner. The some of only shows aired were Geo: The Animated Series, The Simpsons, Malachi Tyrus, JeremyToons, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Laboratory, King of the Hill, The Powerpuff Girls, Geo TV, Family Guy, SpongeBob SquarePants, Tj's World and others.
