Otomo Kotone was an ailing courtier of the Otomo family. She had to sponsor the Spider tainted bushi Daigotsu Eiya and Daigotsu Iemitsu into the Test of the Emerald Champion in 1169, disguised as ronin of the Hare village of Kudo. As a powerful courtier that traveled to many important courts all across the Empire she could open many doors.
