House Pardee was a House which owned the planet New Salem and was virtually obliterated by House Harkonnen in what was the first recorded instance of a War of Assassins (3367 AG-3375 AG) This war involved an extensive use of poison, but it was climaxed by the famous Lasgun Massacre, when Harkonnen mercenaries ambushed Duke Ira Pardee and his family at their hunting lodge on New Salem.
