Mother Carmella was the Mother Superior for the Santa Filomena Convent, she was friends with Kostas Krimboti. She was a small woman, and provided sanctuary for Ben, Ned, and the Travelling Rizzoli Troupe. After Ben was seriously injured in a fight with Al Misurata, Mother Carmella concocted a liquid medicine to assist in the healing process.
