Gene Vaniva was born and raised on Corellia, before exiling himself for reasons he never disclosed. He, along with Lt. Marr Khenotski, was instrumental in creating the Besh Company of the PGAF marines, which became the model upon which the final reorganization of the PGAF was initiated. Vaniva also reorganized the PGAF's AIR division as its director, the position he continues to serve.
