The 2006 GFS Marketplace 400 was a Nextel Cup event held at Michigan International Speedway on August 20, 2006. Matt Kenseth got a little comfort for his scrap with Jeff Gordon one month earlier at Chicagoland. Kenseth barely held off Gordon by a few-tenths fo a second for the victory.
