"Papa Gene's Blues" is a Mike Nesmith-penned song that appeared on the Monkees' first album, The Monkees. Nesmith also produced and sang the lead vocals on the track. On early pressings of the album and in the credits of the television series The Monkees, the song was erroneously listed as "Papa Jean's Blues". Mono and stereo mixes were created.
