Max Bumgardner (born May 13, 1923 in Wichita Falls, TX) is a former NFL defensive back. After earning his B.S. in Physical Education from the University of Texas in 1948, he was drafted to play professionally by the Chicago Bears, but was sent to the Detroit Lions. He played for just one year.
