Erik Thomson was born on April 27th, 1967 in Inverness, Scotland. Although born in the United Kingdom, he is of New-Zealand heritage and lives and works there. He is most notable for playing the original role of Hades on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess and Young Hercules. Along with his notable role in the Xenaverse, he has also been in notable shows such as All Saints, The Alice, MDA and more recently, Packed to the Rafters. He is also married to Caitlin McDougall, who appeared in an episode Xena.
