The Resurgent Forerunner Ecumene is an early Tier 0 Civilization first encountered by the UNSC in 2561. Any signs of the Civilization were last seen in 2566 before the Great Rifts were activated, barring Slipspace Travel beyond the Frontier's Edge. Before the opening of the Great Rifts, thousands of Forerunner vessels were seen exiting Slipspace near the Tyrannus System, including massive planetary superstructures and artificial stars. UNSC Forces have been unable to make contact with or observe resurgent Forerunner elements since the encounter in early 2561.
