The Vodomerka (Russian: водомерка) or Water Strider was a three legged unmanned gear that belonged to the Delaware-based PMC, Desperado Enforcement LLC. and the Colorado-based PMC, World Marshal Inc. Developed in Russia under the Alekhine OKB (the OKB responsible for ekranoplan, or ground-effect vehicles), their appearance was similar to pond-skaters, although their height was comparable to an average human being. Also similar to pond-skaters, they also were capable of skating on water. They were equipped with jets because the UG's creators thought it was more fit to have the mech outrun enemy cyborgs instead of simply outgunning them. Their main weapons were a HF machete and a built-in flamethrower, the latter of which was installed because cyborgs couldn't block flamethrower technology,
