The unnamed Police Officer went to question Dan Mason after he had been rushed to Weatherfield General with a haemorrhaged spleen. In a prank that had gone horribly wrong, Steve McDonald had locked Dan in the Rovers' cellar. Dan had told his father and girlfriend Leanne Battersby that Steve knew he was injured and left him unaided. The Police Officer later turned up at the Rovers and arrested Steve on suspicion of assault and unlawful imprisonment.
