Neotropical Dragons were released on August 25, 2009, alongside Deep Sea, Horse, Water Walker and Waterhorse Dragons. Several Neotropical dragons were affected by the 2009 Datamonster attack that occurred shortly after their release. Many users reported losing Neotropical eggs and hatchlings during the event.
