Nidians are a small, furry humanoid race and members of the Galactic Federation. Their physiological classification is DBDG, the same as Humans, and the two species are very similar, despite Nidians standing only four feet tall, having seven-fingered hands and a red-colored dense fur pelt which gave them the racial nickname of "Teddy Bears". This species evolved while their planet was going through ice age.
