Onires is one of the legendary Seven Swords of Vorin of Darkmere. Each of the swords are named and each has enchantments unique to itself. Legend says that the swords were given as gifts by Vorin to various elven heroes, who each went their separate ways on individual quests. Onires was given to Ameth, the famous elven warrior who supposedly led a band of warriors against overwhelming odds at the Battle of Tavell.
