Dawn Green was a character in "The Southern Vampire Mysteries". Introduced in the book Dead Until Dark, Dawn was a waitress that worked at Merlotte's Bar and Grill with series' protagonist Sookie Stackhouse until she was murdered by Rene Lenier. Dawn had dated Jason Stackhouse, Sookie's brother, but they were on the outs. Dawn meets an untimely demise in the same book.
