Pilika is a girl who befriends Jowy and Riou after her family rescues Jowy when he was washed up near Toto River, after Jowy and Riou jumped from the cliff of Tenzen Pass after the massacre of the Highland Youth Brigade by Luca Blight. She is the only survivor of Luca Blight's attack on Toto, and left an orphan when her parents, Marx and Joanna, die in the massacre. She survived that massacre since her father told her to hide.
