The 850 appeared in Need for Speed II and Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit as a traffic vehicle. It can be driven by the player in the PC release of Need for Speed II by entering volvo at the main menu. The 850 will be made playable in the PC release of Hot Pursuit, if the player enters go15 at the main menu.
