Lopak Zad was a Male Echani Sith Acolyte, he wanted to open the gateway to power by becoming Sith but was weak and an easy kill and was often assaulted by other acolytes. Lopak was later sent to an interrogation near an Imperial science lab, but rather than do his trial, he went into the lab to find a source of power he discovered Rakghouls being monitored in an area and was amazed at how powerful they were. Stormtroopers stopped Zad and told him that he was in a restricted area and that he needed to leave. Lopak stuck his training blade in the glass and released the Rakghouls who infected the stormtroopers. Zad allowed himself to become infected but managed to resist full control over his brain.
