The Blood Cave was a hidden cave in the side of the mountain Hope, near the remote and isolated valley of the Twilight Mountains known as the the Lair. Anyone who slept within the cave was visited in dreams by the Oracle of Blood, the manifestation of Iuchiban's will. The Bloodspeakers visited this cave many times over the centuries, storing a considerable amount of secret maho knowledge. Cult members who escaped from the periodic Boar purges had taken refuge in the cave. Over the centuries it had been also a lair to bandits, wandering ronin, packs of bakemono, and even an oni.
