In total, the generation introduces three new territories to the Pokémon world: the main region of Xeno and its two outlying islands, Mahima and Nanten, though they are also referred to as sub-regions on occasion. Unique among its fellows, these three landmasses lie on their own side of the Pokémon world, completely separate from the others. Due to this, the rates of Pokémon within them are radically different than those of the outside world. For example: Amaura, only known as a Fossil Pokémon to the other regions, can be found in the wild in Xeno. Contrariwise, Pikachu, which is something of a common sight in the ordinary regions, is nowhere to be found in Xeno and must be resurrected for the player's use via a Thunder Fossil. While some Pokémon share the same rarity as their counterparts
