Tyra Stafford was an alcohol drinker and a beer mile contestant. She was committed to the Tufts University Jumbos from a young age (before she even went to high school) and she became a Jumbo for track and field. She was recruited younger than any other Jumbo before or since, leading the Jumbos to a NCAA Division I victory and a Longueuil Cup semifinal appearance in 2291, alongside Gwen Fairfax.
