A heal over time effect is provided by many different effects. A heal over time effect restores no health up front, but continues to heal the user every x amount of seconds. Some common heal over time effects are from Powerups and from Nature healing effects, such as Rejuvenation or Regrowth. Heal over time is often abbreviated as HOT or HoT.
