The Seattle Parks and Recreation department runs about twenty community centers spread around Seattle. Community centers are great neighborhood resources and offer a wide variety of activities for all ages, from toddlers to adults. Some activities include sports (tennis, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, yoga, martial arts, etc), classes in art, computer skills, CPR and first aid, writting, acting, ballet, photography, and more. Not all community centers offer all classes, and most classes have associated fees although they are usually very reasonable.
