The Selenome was a marine colony creature akin to a predatory coral reef. Selenomes resembled immense cluster of rocks on the ocean floor, but were in fact a beast with hundreds of tentacles covered in toothed suckers. The tentacles themselves consisted of smaller organisms which cooperated to improve the overall odds of obtaining sustenance. The Selenome was self-regenerating and had no natural predators. Its only natural vulnerability was starvation.
