Sarumawashi Unagi (probably Japanese name order) is one of the team of students sent by the Yama Dojo to count coup on Whateley Academy by stealing something that is supposedly protected. He appears to be a devisor. He's also a competent fighter, and appears to be the only one who really gets what being a Ninja is all about. In keeping with the theme naming of the team unagi means eel. In the first story, he defeats one of Whateley Security's sensors, and attempts to reconfigure the Modular Component Harness so they can escape.
