Samson was a Beowulf-born Solarian citizen and an officer of the Solarian League Navy. In the 19th Century PD, he served as commanding officer of a warship that captured a slaver vessel, freeing a number of genetic slaves. One of them, Samson X, took Samson's name as his own first name. (HHA5: LD)
