Maiden's Hope is a tiny northern flower found only in the deep woods. It only blooms around Midsummer's Day, and often features in Midsummer garlands and bouquets in the northern parts of Valdemar. Herald Talia received a bouquet of them from Herald Kris for Midsummer. She described the scent as "like sunrise, like a perfect spring day, like the heart's desire." (Arrow's Flight) He promised her another bouquet of them for her wedding day. The miraculous keeping of that promise is recounted in the song "Maiden's Hope."
