The Republic Bartender is a character in The Getaway series who acts as a minor character in The Getaway. He was an innocent man that worked at the Republic Restaurant in Soho for the Collins gang. When Mark Hammond is instructed by Charlie Jolson to destroy this bar in Mission 2, Burning Bridges, Mark arrives at the bar and starts shooting at members of the Collins gang. The Bartender surrenders. Mark has the option to kill or spare him depending on the player's choice. Whatever option the player picks will have no effect on the games storyline. Once Mark has taken care of all the gang members, he escapes the bar before it goes up in flames. The police tell everyone to get out of the building immediately.
