Mark Delage Greaves is the author of "A Royal Betrothal." When Mr. Wilson of the Charlottetown Argyle loses the ending of the story hours before publication, Emily ghost-writes a new ending for it. The enraged Mark Greaves later confronts her, only to fall in love and propose marriage to Emily.
