Shien uses a different version of this ability, in which his arm transforms into a large snake and his regenerated body emerges from the snakes mouth and the previous body vanishes into dust. If he can't use his arms a large snake will emerge from his back instead. The snake can slither away as a way of escaping, leaving the old body to vanish to prevent others from learning about the uniqueness his body.
