The fifth season of Dancing with the Stars premiered on September 24, 2007 with a special three-night premiere week. Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris returned as hosts. Harris gave birth on September 23, 2007; during her leave of absence, season 2 champion Drew Lachey served as co-host. On October 15, 2007 Harris returned to the show. Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli all returned as judges.
