The Air Strange is edited by Culley Smith from the Quad Cities located in Illinois and Iowa along the Mississippi River. The blog aims to cover music in Central Iowa to Central Illinois, including Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Cedar Falls, Iowa City, Dubuque, Dekalb, Quad Cities, Galesburg, Peoria, and Champaign-Urbana. The Air Strange launched in April 2006 and has generated a strong local following.
