Kingi Te Wake was a member of The White Tails and first appeared in Ferndale in 2008, becoming invovled with the dance parties Kieran Mitchell was running, Kingi dated Tania Jeffries though broke up with her after her sisters made him see that she was not safe whilst she was with him. When Tania became too involved with Kingi's gang life he assaulted her in a fit of rage, admitting later that he was an undercover cop. After quitting the gang, Kingi and Tania were kidnapped and nearly killed. They escaped but an ashamed Kingi broke up with Tania for good and fled to Australia.
