A fish species known as sez was native to the oceans of the Mid Rim planet Bothawui. The species' name was used as a family name by the Bothans, a sentient species native to Bothawui. Mak Sezala, a Bothan senator serving the New Republic during the invasion of the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong, had "sez" as part of his surname, along with the clan suffix "ala."
