Franz Kafka is a well-known writer known for his stories about alienation, physical and psychological brutality, parent–child conflict, characters on a terrifying quest, labyrinths of bureaucracy, and mystical transformations. At some point Peter Parker read some of his stories. As he was being put on trial for treason, Peter remarked to himself that his life had turned into a Kafka novel.
