Thanks to the investigations of Officer Murphy, there existed a computer disk that showed that Torelli was guilty of arson, murder and racketeering and was the one of the few people to have three major crimes to his name. The evidence passed on to Skates following Murphy's death and eventually found its way into the District Attorney's hands. The disk was presumably enough to have Torelli arrested and prosecuted, although this was never seen.
